Get test results

If you’ve had a recent test, you can view your results online or contact the surgery.

You can get results for things like:

  • blood tests
  • urine tests
  • x-rays
  • ultrasounds

Test Results

If you have recently had a test requested by your GP on your blood, specimen, an x-ray or ultrasound the practice will contact you if the result is abnormal. Some results can take up to 28 days to be returned to the practice. 
You can access your test results via patient access e.g NHS app or by calling the practice. 
If you have recently attended hospital as part of an onward referral you must contact the relevant clinic to obtain your results. We do not have access to MRI or CT scans carried out in a hospital environment.

Get your results using the NHS app or website

The NHS app is a quick way to access NHS services. Using the NHS app means you do not need to enter your personal details each time you contact the surgery. You can read more about the app on the NHS website.

You will need the NHS app or your NHS account login details.

Contact the surgery by phone

Please call the surgery about test results after 2 pm.

We can usually only give information about a test results directly to the patient. This is for privacy reasons.

We may be able to speak to someone else if the patient:

  • has given their permission
  • may find it difficult to understand
